Program overview
Move from ceremonial oversight to strategic governance, able to read the numbers, ask the hard questions and steer through change.
The Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate is Credence Institute’s flagship board leadership qualification for cooperative and SACCO directors who want to move from ceremonial oversight to strategic governance. Across ten modules, directors learn to interpret financial statements, apply SASRA and AML obligations, oversee digital systems and cybersecurity, and manage boardroom conflict with integrity. Board simulations, ethics clinics and real-world casework replace lecture theory. Graduates are listed in the Credence Certified Governance Registry and emerge board-ready able to read the numbers, ask the hard questions and steer their institutions through change.
